PETA is on the attack again, and this time they are going after Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. The twin fashion designers caught the eye of the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals when they recently released a fur backpack for their high-end clothing line The Row. The backpack is estimated to be valued at nearly $17,000.
"If it looks like a troll and acts like a troll, it's probably a Trollsen Twin - or someone wearing one of their new $16,000 totes, which are made from the fur and skins of innocent animals," PETA said in a statement to E!. They went on to say, "What the Olsens lack in creativity, they try to make up for in shock value."
On the other hand, celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe wrote on her website that the bag is, "perfect for pre-fall".
Do you think that PETA was too harsh on the Olsens? And would you purchase the $17,000 bag?
